Designing a clear, credible digital platform for a complex national organisation.
SaCSA partnered with JTB to rethink its digital platform end to end. Through discovery, product definition, and design and development, we transformed a content-heavy site into a clearer, more accessible experience that supports advocacy, engagement and long-term growth.
Background
SaCSA is a national Jobs and Skills Council working across multiple industries to deliver workforce planning, training products and sector insights. As the organisation grew, its website became difficult to manage and challenging for users to navigate. SaCSA needed a clearer, more structured digital platform that could support diverse stakeholders while remaining credible, accessible and scalable.
Objectives
The goal was to create a digital platform that clearly explains what SaCSA does, who it serves and why it matters. This meant simplifying complex information, improving navigation for time-poor users and ensuring the website could support multiple audiences without favouring one sector over another. We aimed to define a strong product foundation that aligned user needs, internal workflows and long-term organisational goals. The project also sought to improve usability, accessibility and trust, while laying the groundwork for a platform that could evolve alongside SaCSA’s growing remit and responsibilities.
Approach
We began with a comprehensive discovery phase, combining stakeholder workshops, interviews and audits to understand SaCSA’s challenges, audiences and ambitions. These insights informed a clear product definition, shaping how content, features and navigation should work together. From there, we designed a user-led experience supported by a flexible design system and scalable information architecture. The website was then designed and developed with clarity, accessibility and governance in mind, ensuring SaCSA could manage content confidently while delivering a consistent, professional experience for stakeholders.
