Sharing high end fashion, with a focus on sustainability
Only a small percentage of the general population can afford to wear the designer branded clothing they aspire to. By renting, Walk In grants everyone the chance to experience wearing their own dream-designed and styled outfit they wouldn’t normally have the financial capacity to afford.
Partnering directly with boutiques and designers, Walk In aims to remove the fear around disruption occurring in their industry, providing a platform for them to rent their own inventory without the concern of logistic, maintenance and promotion. By re-using clothes Walk In is changing general perceptions around the fashion industry, the established culture of wear-once disposable clothing is being challenged.
The Project
Create a customised online store for Walk In to sell & hire their clothing items. The website will function seamlessly across all devices and with its ease of use, position Walk In as the go to place for renting the most trendy designer clothing items.
Objectives
Walk In is currently operated entirely on the social platform Instagram. This approach means entire process is cumbersome as all communication, customer borrowing and product data is handled manually.
The current platform does not allow Walk In to promote and manage a catalogue of products, as older stock is pushed down their social feed. It is not allowing the business to scale.
Solution
Create automation and eliminate manual tasks by facilitating the entire hiring process without the need for staff intervention. Expose Walk In to a wider borrower audience by exhibiting the business across all digital mediums.
Allow the business inventory to scale by showcasing the entire range of products available to the customer. Eliminate fear of competition between boutiques/designers and Walk In by communicating the mutual benefits available to businesses and the customer.
